Properties of the LA PLATA SAND series:
ADA la Plata Sand does not change the chemical values of the water. It is safe for all fish. It is ideal for creating a multicolored substrate and for areas free of plants. It can be mixed with other sands and gravels.

Substrate in a Natural Aquarium: it is a portion of gravel on which aquatic plants are planted. It is a specific combination of various substances. The bottom layer of the substrate is a 5-10 mm layer of Power Sand, which contains organic substances of plant origin and slowly released inorganic nutrients. These provide nutrients to the plants. Next is a layer of natural Aqua Soil. Its particles are delicate, and the high content of organic acids contributes to root development. The last layer is light sand, used as decorative sand in the foreground of the composition. The justification for using such varied materials is that this system allows for healthy plant growth and a natural appearance of the aquarium. Although light sand does not contribute to plant development like the Aqua Soil layer, it is used for decorative purposes. However, plants should not be allowed to spread in this area as there are no conditions for their growth.
