Properties of the LA PLATA SAND series:
ADA la Plata Sand does not alter the chemical values of the water. It is safe for all fish. It is perfect for creating colorful substrates and for areas free of plants. It can be mixed with other sands or gravels.

Substrate in a Natural Aquarium: This is a layer of gravel on which aquatic plants are planted. It is a specific combination of different substances. The bottom layer of the substrate is a 5-10 mm layer of Power Sand, which contains organic substances of plant origin and slowly releasing inorganic nutrients. These nutrients feed the plants. Next, there is a layer of natural soil, Aqua Soil. Its particles are delicate, and its high content of organic acids contributes to root development. The final layer is light sand, used as decorative sand in the foreground of the composition. The reason for using such diverse materials is that such a system allows for healthy plant growth and a natural look of the aquarium. Although the light sand does not contribute to plant growth as much as the Aqua Soil layer, it is used for decorative purposes. However, the growth of plants in this area should not be allowed as it does not provide suitable conditions for their growth.
